It’s the third day of Atlanta Ice Catastrophe.
Yesterday, we were at one neighbor’s house for 6 hours. We cooked frozen pizzas (nothing was open to deliver), drank tea, and the kids colored and played Wii. It did a good deal to absolve the cabin fever. Today I’ve traded kids with another neighbor (sent one of mine over to her–she sent one of hers to me). We made grilled cheese sandwiches and baked oatmeal chocolate chip cookies.
The sun came out today for the first time since Sunday, and this afternoon, it’s rapidly melting the ice on the street outside of our house. My husband is finally going back to work tomorrow, and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that school is delayed and not canceled.
It’s amazing what just an inch or two of ice can do.
