Split Personality

If you’ve had a few shots of ice wine and perhaps a little egg nog with a bunch of people you know well, the most fun thing to do is pass around a laptop and have everyone take the Myers Briggs personality test.  It’s better than playing Taboo while intoxicated. My scores indicate that I’m incredibly extroverted, intuitive, feeling, and judgmental. In other words, I’m the empathetic outspoken bitch I’ve always suspected I was.

We spent 12 days with about 18 people all staying in one house. Every where you stepped was a person. The children, seven of them total, stayed up too late, woke up too early, ate too much junk food, and received too may toys. The grown-ups stayed up too late, got up too early, drank too much caffeine, drank too little alcohol (considering the circumstances), ate out too much, and cooked too much food.

None of us got anything of consequence done.

It was the best holiday ever.

(Barack Obama is an ENFJ as well. Just sayin’.)

  2. I’m always an INFJ on those tests, which makes me feel freakish because they say it’s a very small percentage of the population.

Your holiday sounds fantastic! I always wish my kids had more cousins around holiday time.

  4. Oh, Elaine! We are two peas in a pod!

Jackie, we almost never get together with these cousins. It was a once in a lifetime type of holiday.

And Magpie, I should have said we ate out too often, and when we did cook, we made WAY too much food!

  5. I’m an INTP. Which is why I keep meaning to change you on my blogroll and am being so dumb about it.

Glad you had an amazing holiday, those big ones where people are more or less getting along ARE the best ones.

  7. Yes, it really was – thank you :)

And, for the record, you really should be an ENF-doubleJ- at the rate you’re going… ahahahaha
